The winter is dark and cold, which contrary to popular belief doesn’t shrink the world, but rather opens it up. You’re now a part of the universe in a way that you aren’t otherwise. Maybe it’s the northern lights, or that the stars feel so close. Who knows. We just know that you can feel it.

Northern lights
Northern lights are unpredictable, therein lay some of their beauty. We’ll alert you at the first sign of the lights, 24/7.

Animal Tracking
Together with our local guide, we go into the forest and look after traces of the different animals living in the forest. Maybe we get to discover that the King of The Forest, the moose, walked by just a few hours ago, or that a little fox has been on an adventure by itself.
Can be done on skies or snow shoes. A snack and a warm drink is included.

Dogsledding
The most fun you’ve ever had will be to traverse ice and snow by trained dogs. There is something magical about the absolute silence that comes when the dogs set off into the calm forest. Sled dogs are friendly and social animals used to communicating with strangers.
Arthotel provides transport to and from the activity, as well as a food and coffee following the sled tour.

Day Excursion to the Tower
On skies or with snow shoes, we walk 2 km together with our local guide the Tower, where we eat a hot meal over the open fire. Maybe we even climb up to the top of the Tower, gazing out over the beautiful winter forest.

Stargazing
On a clear evening, we gaze at the infinite universe and see from a new perspective. Maybe we even get to make a wish from a falling star.

Cross country skiing
From your front step to the forest or out on the Torne river, we cross country ski with our local guide. No matter if you have never stood on skis before, or if you’ve done it multiple times - this is a fun activity!
