A stunning season when Tornedalen is in full bloom and the river runs wild. Temperatures can reach +30degrees and you’ll find locals swimming from the sandbank-islands that emerge in the middle of Torned älv.

Voyage across Torne River
In a real riverboat we traverse Torne älv and visit Vitsaniemi’s unique sandbanks. We’ll also teach you about the old smuggler routes from when people braved the border with all kinds of produce.
Arthotel provides guests with a guide, boat, life-preservers and river snacks.

Fishing
Fishing for salmon in the Torne River, during daytime or in the midnight sun.
Our most popular summer activity. We can fish from boats or the shore.
Arthotel provides instructor, life-preservers, fishing equipment, snacks as well as necessary permits.
Number of guests: 1-3 per boat or a maximum of 5 for shoreline fishing.
